all right

Occasionally adding corroborative details to add verisimilitude to otherwise bald and unconvincing,
but veridicous accounts
with careful attention, indefatigable assiduity, and nice discrimination.

Look, No Unicorn!

Warming Lies before Us

Three horsemen of the apocalypse, with much haste,
are now galloping towards us across the waste
with Death, on his pale unicorn, not far behind.
Climate change, as any official scientist,
can tell you, brings change and, therefore, they then insist
great doom, with much torment, will come to all mankind.

“Wait a tick,” you rejoin, “Death, surely, rides a horse,
not some fabled, fictitious creature.”  Well, of course,
it’s Death’s mount, not the other lies, troubling your mind.

The Extinction of Monoceros unicornis

The last unicorn,
friendless, frightened and forlorn
might have died this morn.

Hunted for its horn,
by the nomads they adorn,
and savagely shorn.

Extinctions must warn
us to think of things unborn.
Poor, last unicorn.
